
When we are young we have many vanities. We envy our friends; we want what they have and we want to do what they do. But as we age, we know time is limited. We can’t afford to live in vain. That is when many practice in earnest: with reason, motivation and a full heart. In order to have a full heart we must contemplate the suffering of samsara and its causes and conditions. We see in ourselves and others that we want happiness and do not want misery. Nonetheless, due to our ignorance, we cannot align our actions with our intentions and this why we suffer
